Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, has said he does not think the club is naive enough, to fire manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.<\/p>\n

The Red Devils are in the midst of their worst start to a season in 30 years and went into the international break having won just two games this campaign.<\/p>\n

Solskjaer\u2019s men sit in 12th place, just two points above the relegation zone.<\/p>\n

United lost 1-0 at Newcastle in their last fixture and welcome table-toppers Liverpool next Sunday.<\/p>\n

Ferdinand believes the club will give Solskjaer time to turn things around.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s no way the club would have thought this would be rosy straight away, they\u2019re not naive enough to think that it was going to be a situation where he just changes it overnight.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is definitely something where there is going to be early pain, there is going to be a situation where the results are not going to go our way, especially with the new recruitment that they\u2019ve started to go with younger players.<\/p>\n
