{"id":155598,"date":"2019-09-27T12:14:41","date_gmt":"2019-09-27T11:14:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=155598"},"modified":"2019-09-27T12:15:43","modified_gmt":"2019-09-27T11:15:43","slug":"another-wanted-kidnap-kingpin-arrested-in-borno","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=155598","title":{"rendered":"Another wanted kidnap kingpin arrested in Borno"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Abuja-Bureau-de-Change-operator-bags-six-month-jail-term-over-N17m-fraud.jpg\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Command in Borno State, says it has arrested a 45-year-old man, Ibrahim Ali-Jobo, suspected to be a kidnap kingpin in Biu Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.<\/p>\n<p>The state Corps Commandant, Mr Ibrahim Abdullahi, made disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Maiduguri.<\/p>\n<p>Abdullahi said the suspect was arrested on Monday following a report by a resident, Isa Bello, about alleged abduction of his brother, Haruna Bello, in Biu.<\/p>\n<p>He said that the suspect requested the victim\u2019s family to pay N4 million ransom, to enable them secure his release from captivity.<\/p>\n<p>The commandant added that men of the command tracked the suspect and stormed his hideout, rescuing Bello and four other victims in the process.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPreliminary investigations indicated that the suspect has been terrorizing communities in Biu.
