{"id":155495,"date":"2019-09-26T18:14:08","date_gmt":"2019-09-26T17:14:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=155495"},"modified":"2019-09-26T18:16:08","modified_gmt":"2019-09-26T17:16:08","slug":"two-lovers-hack-nhis-account-steal-n60-million-police","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=155495","title":{"rendered":"Two lovers hack NHIS account, steal N60 Million &#8211; Police"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"ds-1col file file-image file-image-jpeg view-mode-embedded centered clearfix block-story-object block-story-object-resource block-story-object-resource-image\"><br \/>\n<span class=\"block-story-object-asset\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"media-element file-embedded\" typeof=\"foaf:Image\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Two-Lovers-Hack-NHIS-Account-Steal-N60-Million-Police-Say.jpeg\" alt=\"\"><\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Two lovers, Tunde Ogunseye and Funmilayo Oyelaja, have been arrested<br \/>\nfor allegedly hacking into the federal government\u2019s National Health<br \/>\nInsurance Scheme (NHIS) account and stealing N60 million from it.<\/p>\n<p>The suspects, who had been on the police wanted list, were said to<br \/>\nhave fled to Ghana when the lid was blown on their act.<\/p>\n<p>The police alleged that Oyelaja took advantage of being an employee of<br \/>\nClearline International Limited, a health maintenance organization<br \/>\n(HMO) based in Lagos, to hack into the account.<\/p>\n<p>At the Lagos police headquarters, Ikeja, where the two suspects were<br \/>\nparaded on Wednesday, Oyelaja, a mother of two, told journalists, \u201cI<br \/>\nworked with Clearline International Limited from 2014 to early 2019.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What we do there is that we act as the middleman between the NHIS and<br \/>\nhospitals. When the NHIS gives us money to pay hospitals, we would not<br \/>\nspend all that was given to us and would not refund the excess to the<br \/>\nNHIS purse.<\/p>\n<p>Ogunseye, denied any involvement in the crime, though he admitted he<br \/>\nknew about the alleged fraud.<\/p>\n<p>The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Zubairu Muazu, who paraded the suspects, said they would soon be charged to court.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two lovers, Tunde Ogunseye and Funmilayo Oyelaja, have been arrested for allegedly hacking into the federal government\u2019s National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) account and stealing N60 million from it.
