{"id":155490,"date":"2019-09-26T19:16:25","date_gmt":"2019-09-26T18:16:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=155490"},"modified":"2019-09-27T13:08:05","modified_gmt":"2019-09-27T12:08:05","slug":"nigerian-27-rapes-co-worker-to-death","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=155490","title":{"rendered":"Nigerian, 27, Rapes Co-Worker To Death"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><span class=\"ds-1col file file-image file-image-jpeg view-mode-embedded centered clearfix block-story-object block-story-object-resource block-story-object-resource-image\"><br \/>\n<span class=\"block-story-object-asset\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"media-element file-embedded\" typeof=\"foaf:Image\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Nigerian-Woman-Conspires-With-Former-Father-In-Law-Brother-In-Law-To-Kill-Husband-In-Attempt-To-Return-To-EX.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"container container-pod container-pod-short\"><span class=\"adunit-parent hide block-module block-module-ad block-module-ad-300x250\"><span class=\"block-module-image-wrapper\"><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>A 27-year-old man, Eniola Adenuga, has been arrested by the police in<br \/>\nOgun State for allegedly raping a co-worker, Faith Jude, to death.<\/p>\n<p>Adenuga was paraded at the police command headquarters, Eleweran,<br \/>\nAbeokuta, on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>According to the police, Adenuga, a mobile money agent, was arrested<br \/>\nfor murder after he made a report of the discovery of Jude\u2019s corpse at<br \/>\nLafenwa Police Station.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect reportedly killed his coworker on September 16 but made a<br \/>\nreport of discovering her corpse on September 19.<\/p>\n<p>The police disclosed that Adenuga gagged Jude&#8217;s mouth with a piece of<br \/>\ncloth while he raped her.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn close examination, it was discovered that there were marks of<br \/>\nviolence on the body of the deceased, which raised the suspicion that<br \/>\nshe was murdered.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBased on the discovery, Eniola Adenuga was professionally<br \/>\ninterrogated and it was discovered that he was the person who actually<br \/>\nkilled the victim.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe confessed to the crime and stated that the deceased, a co-mobile<br \/>\nmoney agent, came to the shop to collect money for their boss.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe took advantage of a downpour and grabbed the deceased, gagged her<br \/>\nmouth with a piece of cloth, while he raped her.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHaving had his way with the young woman, he discovered that she had<br \/>\ndied of suffocation,&#8221; the police told journalists during the parade.<\/p>\n<p>Adenuga, who claimed to regret his action, said, \u201cI regret my action<br \/>\nbecause I did not know what came over me; I am not a womanizer; I don\u2019t know why I got myself involved in this.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe government should temper justice with mercy; I promise never to<br \/>\ndo something like this again.\u201d<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A 27-year-old man, Eniola Adenuga, has been arrested by the police in Ogun State for allegedly raping a co-worker, Faith Jude, to death.
