{"id":154419,"date":"2019-09-22T19:12:03","date_gmt":"2019-09-22T18:12:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=154419"},"modified":"2019-09-22T19:13:55","modified_gmt":"2019-09-22T18:13:55","slug":"atiku-mourns-toyin-ajindes-death","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=154419","title":{"rendered":"Atiku mourns Toyin Ajinde&#8217;s death"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/What-Jonathan-Peter-Obi-Ihedioha-said-about-Atikus-late-father-in-law-Iwenjiora.jpg\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the last election, has reacted to the death of PDP Stewart, Mrs Toyin Ajinde.<\/p>\n<p>Ajinde, a chieftain of the PDP in Ondo State was involved in an auto crash few weeks ago.<\/p>\n<p>She, however, gave up the ghost at the Trauma Centre in Ondo on Friday, after being in coma since the accident, which occurred on September 6.<\/p>\n<p>Recall that DAILY POST had reported that the deceased alongside the Senator representing Ondo South at the National Assembly, Nicholas Tofowomo were involved in ghastly accident, which occurred at Igara-Oke axis of the Ilesa-Owo highway while on their way to Akure from an official engagement in Ibadan.<\/p>\n<p>Reacting to the sad news in a tweet on Sunday evening, Atiku said, Toyin Ajinde\u2019s commitment to a better Nigeria was unparalleled.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a PDP woman leader in Ondo, she worked tirelessly to achieve this. I knew this because she was my longtime staunch supporter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m saddened by her loss.
