Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has said Mohamed Salah was worried he wouldn\u2019t get in his first-team ahead of Sadio Mane, when he first contacted the Egyptian to try to sign him.<\/p>\n

The Reds splashed out nearly \u00a340million on Salah from Roma in 2017.<\/p>\n

He has since proved to be worth every penny, scoring an impressive 75 goals in 111 appearances in all competitions for the club.<\/p>\n

Mane had joined Liverpool a year earlier and enjoyed an impressive debut season.<\/p>\n

Klopp, speaking to Sky Sports, admits he had to assure Salah he would be an important part of the first-team before he signed.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s incredible how they\u2019ve developed together. The boys are brilliant characters \u2013 different but brilliant \u2013 but of course we signed (Salah and Mane) because they obviously had outstanding skills.<\/p>\n

\u201cI remember when we spoke to Mo the first time, he said \u2018Yes, but Sadio is playing on the right wing and he\u2019s not bad is he?\u2019 and I said, \u2018I know but he can play on the other wing as well\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was clear it wasn\u2019t just one pushing the other \u2013 they could play together. They\u2019re a proper threat. It just works, with Bobby as the connector.
