Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, reserved special praise for Ilkay Gundogan, following their 3-0 win over Shakhtar Donestk in the Champions League on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

Gundogan set up the first goal for Riyad Mahrez with a shot that came back off the post, before scoring the second himself.<\/p>\n

Gabriel Jesus added a third to seal victory at the Metalist Stadium in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s an exceptional player.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe knows how good he has to play as there are many others in that position.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have problems centre-back but we have good players in other positions.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m satisfied with his performance today and ever since we\u2019ve been here together. People are starting to look at what he\u2019s done.<\/p>\n

\u201cWithout him last season when Fernandinho was out we couldn\u2019t have won the Premier League in the way we did.<\/p>\n
