{"id":153462,"date":"2019-09-19T10:50:35","date_gmt":"2019-09-19T09:50:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=153462"},"modified":"2019-09-19T10:51:41","modified_gmt":"2019-09-19T09:51:41","slug":"efcc-arrests-six-for-alleged-atm-scam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=153462","title":{"rendered":"EFCC Arrests Six For Alleged ATM Scam"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><span class=\"ds-1col file file-image file-image-png view-mode-embedded centered clearfix block-story-object block-story-object-resource block-story-object-resource-image\"><br \/>\n<span class=\"block-story-object-asset\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"media-element file-embedded\" typeof=\"foaf:Image\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/EFCC-Arrests-Six-For-Alleged-ATM-Scam.png\" alt=\"\"><\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"container container-pod container-pod-short\"><span class=\"adunit-parent hide block-module block-module-ad block-module-ad-300x250\"><span class=\"block-module-image-wrapper\"><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Operatives of the Kaduna Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have arrested six fraudsters allegedly specialised in defrauding Nigerians by using bank details obtained through SIM swaps and Automated Teller Machines.<\/p>\n<p>This was made known through a statement by Head, Public Affairs of EFCC in the zone, Zainab Ahmed.<\/p>\n<p>She said they were arrested in separate operations in the state following an alarm raised by one bank customer alleging that money was illegally transferred from his account without authorisation.<\/p>\n<p>The names of the suspects are given as Urulo Ikenna Henry, Ugonna Nelson Owete, Ugonna Samuel Okafor Obinna, Chigbo Paschal Chidiebere, Oha Chukwujekwu Kingsley, Ahamefula Francis Izuchukwu.<\/p>\n<p>EFCC said, \u201cUpon receipt of the petition, the zonal office of the commission immediately swung into action and traced some of the funds to three of the suspects, Samuel Okafor Obinna \u2013 N1,500.000; Chigbo Paschal Chidiebere -N210,000 and Oha Chukwujekwu Kingsley N300 000.
