{"id":153457,"date":"2019-09-19T11:15:03","date_gmt":"2019-09-19T10:15:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=153457"},"modified":"2019-09-19T11:15:13","modified_gmt":"2019-09-19T10:15:13","slug":"eksu-student-allegedly-kills-lover-over-n2500","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=153457","title":{"rendered":"EKSU Student Allegedly Kills Lover Over N2500"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><span class=\"ds-1col file file-image file-image-png view-mode-embedded centered clearfix block-story-object block-story-object-resource block-story-object-resource-image\"><br \/>\n<span class=\"block-story-object-asset\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"media-element file-embedded\" typeof=\"foaf:Image\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/EKSU-Student-Allegedly-Kills-Lover-Over-N2500.png\" alt=\"\"><\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"container container-pod container-pod-short\"><span class=\"adunit-parent hide block-module block-module-ad block-module-ad-300x250\"><span class=\"block-module-image-wrapper\"><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>A 20-year-old student of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, Bukola Odeyemi, has allegedly stabbed her lover, John Iju, to death.<\/p>\n<p>The 300-level student of the Department Of Biology Education allegedly stabbed Iju at Treasure Base Hostel, Iworoko-Ekiti, for refusing to give her N2,500 to make her hair.<\/p>\n<p>According to a report by The Nation, residents rushed to the apartment following the cry for help by the deceased.<\/p>\n<p>The incident was said to have occurred around 10:00pm.<\/p>\n<p>An eyewitness, who asked not to be named, wondered why a girl would kill her boyfriend over money to make her hair.<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cOdeyemi had demanded N2,500 from her lover, also a student of EKSU, to make her hair but an argument ensued after the deceased refused to give her the money.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring the altercation, Odeyemi stabbed Iju in the chest and his cry for help attracted us but he did not survive the injury.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Spokesperson for the police in Ekiti, DSP Caleb Ikechukwu, who confirmed the incident, said the suspect will be charged to court after investigation is concluded.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A 20-year-old student of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, Bukola Odeyemi, has allegedly stabbed her lover, John Iju, to death.
