{"id":152752,"date":"2019-09-16T21:49:16","date_gmt":"2019-09-16T20:49:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=152752"},"modified":"2019-09-16T22:42:54","modified_gmt":"2019-09-16T21:42:54","slug":"president-buhari-dissolves-osinbajo-led-economic-team-makes-new-appointments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=152752","title":{"rendered":"President Buhari dissolves Osinbajo-led economic team, makes new appointments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Buhari-orders-local-production-of-Nigerias-E-Passport-assigns-task-to-company.jpeg\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday, constituted an Economic Advisory Council (EAC).<\/p>\n<p>Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, before now headed, Economic Management Team.<\/p>\n<p>A statement to DAILY POST on Monday said that the new team is \u201cmade up of the following: Prof. Doyin Salami \u2013 Chairman; Dr. Mohammed Sagagi \u2013 Vice-Chairman; Prof. Ode Ojowu \u2013 Member; Dr. Shehu Yahaya \u2013 Member; Dr. Iyabo Masha \u2013 Member; Prof. Chukwuma Soludo \u2013 Member; Mr. Bismark Rewane \u2013 Member; Dr. Mohammed Adaya Salisu \u2013 Secretary (Senior Special Assistant to the President, Development Policy).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis advisory council will replace the current Economic Management Team (EMT) and will be reporting directly to the President.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Economic Advisory Council (EAC) will advise the President on economic policy matters, including fiscal analysis, economic growth and a range of internal and global economic issues working with the relevant cabinet members and heads of monetary and fiscal agencies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe EAC will have monthly technical sessions as well as scheduled quarterly meetings with the President.
