{"id":151056,"date":"2019-09-10T16:26:58","date_gmt":"2019-09-10T15:26:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=151056"},"modified":"2019-09-10T16:28:21","modified_gmt":"2019-09-10T15:28:21","slug":"breaking-kaduna-three-feared-killed-as-police-open-fire-on-shiites","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=151056","title":{"rendered":"BREAKING: Kaduna: Three feared killed as police open fire on Shiites"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><span class=\"ds-1col file file-image file-image-jpeg view-mode-embedded centered clearfix block-story-object block-story-object-resource block-story-object-resource-image\"><br \/>\n<span class=\"block-story-object-asset\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"media-element file-embedded\" typeof=\"foaf:Image\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/BREAKING-Three-Feared-Dead-As-Police-Open-Fire-On-Shiites-In-Kaduna.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Islamic Movement of Nigeria ( IMN) on Tuesday made good their threat as they marched on the streets of Abuja to observe Ashura procession. <\/p>\n<p>Members of the movement converged on Wuse market  as early as 7 a m and marched toward the popular Berger roundabout. <\/p>\n<p>The protesters were seen waving flags with arabic inscriptions and chanting anti-government songs.<\/p>\n<p>The protesters hurriedly dispersed on sighting armed policemen to avoid being arrested. <\/p>\n<p>The protest caused gridlock in many parts of the city.<br \/>\n<span class=\"ds-1col file file-image file-image-jpeg view-mode-embedded centered clearfix block-story-object block-story-object-resource block-story-object-resource-image\"><br \/>\n<span class=\"block-story-object-asset\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"media-element file-embedded\" typeof=\"foaf:Image\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/1568122805_672_BREAKING-Three-Feared-Dead-As-Police-Open-Fire-On-Shiites-In-Kaduna.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Kubwa and Mararaba expressways were completely locked down. <\/p>\n<p>But reports from Kaduna State alleged  that policemen have shot Shiite protesters, killing three people. <\/p>\n<p>Many others have been reported wounded.<\/p>\n<p>Also, reports have it that an unspecified number of protesters were shot dead by armed policemen in Gombe State.<br \/>\n<span class=\"ds-1col file file-image file-image-jpeg view-mode-embedded centered clearfix block-story-object block-story-object-resource block-story-object-resource-image\"><br \/>\n<span class=\"block-story-object-asset\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"media-element file-embedded\" typeof=\"foaf:Image\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/1568122805_428_BREAKING-Three-Feared-Dead-As-Police-Open-Fire-On-Shiites-In-Kaduna.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>SaharaReporters could not independently verify these claims.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Islamic Movement of Nigeria ( IMN) on Tuesday made good their threat as they marched on the streets of Abuja to observe Ashura procession.
