We are both big developing countries with<br \/>\nimportant influence, with a bright future for development.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChina and Nigeria should further increase high-level exchanges,<br \/>\nstrengthen bilateral cooperation in international and regional<br \/>\naffairs, and support each other on issues concerning each other\u2019s core<br \/>\ninterests and major concerns.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe practical cooperation in various fields between China and Nigeria<br \/>\nhas achieved positive progress and benefited the people of the two<br \/>\ncountries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Chinese side encourages more Chinese companies to invest in Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe should continue to work hand in hand to develop the Belt and Road<br \/>\nInitiative, implement the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum<br \/>\non China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and constantly enrich the<br \/>\nChina-Nigeria Strategic Partnership.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Buhari asked Yang to convey his cordial greetings to Jinping, adding<br \/>\nthat China is an important partner of Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>He commended China for its strong support for the economic and social<br \/>\ndevelopment of Nigeria and welcomed more Chinese companies to invest<br \/>\nin the country.<\/p>\n<p>Buhari commended the Belt and Road Initiative, adding that Nigeria<br \/>\nwould work with China to implement the outcomes of the FOCAC Beijing<br \/>\nSummit and take the Nigeria-China strategic partnership to a new<br \/>\nlevel.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chinese President Xi Jinping\u2019s special envoy on Thursday met with President Muhammadu Buhari on mutual exchange and bilateral cooperation.
