{"id":149038,"date":"2019-09-03T19:19:41","date_gmt":"2019-09-03T18:19:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=149038"},"modified":"2019-09-03T19:20:01","modified_gmt":"2019-09-03T18:20:01","slug":"chelsea-confirm-deal-for-25-year-old-star","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=149038","title":{"rendered":"Chelsea confirm deal for 25-year-old star"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Chelsea-lose-key-player-Daily-Post-Nigeria.png\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Chelsea on Tuesday confirmed that 25-year-old goalkeeper, Jamal Blackman, has left the club on a season-long loan deal to join Vitesse Arnhem.<\/p>\n<p>The UEFA Europa League winner made this known in a statement on the club\u2019s official website.<\/p>\n<p>The statement read: \u201cGoalkeeper Jamal Blackman will spend the season on loan in the Netherlands at Vitesse Arnhem.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe 25-year-old Chelsea Academy product has been loaned to Championship clubs for the past two seasons but had the misfortune to suffer a broken leg in November last year in a game for Leeds United, so returned to Chelsea after just two appearances for the Elland Road side.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn contrast, the previous season in Yorkshire when loaned to Sheffield United he gained plenty of experience and just missed out on the promotion play-offs, playing 33 times and keeping nine clean sheets.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Blackman is an FA Youth Cup winner with Chelsea and a former England Under-19 international.<\/p>\n<p>The shot-stopper has also been on loan to Ostersunds and Wycombe Wanderers.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chelsea on Tuesday confirmed that 25-year-old goalkeeper, Jamal Blackman, has left the club on a season-long loan deal to join Vitesse Arnhem.
