The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says that the National Chairman of the party, Mr Uche Secondus, has never interfered in the processes of Bayelsa primary election scheduled for Sept. 3.<\/p>\n

The National Publicity Secretary of the Party, Mr Kola Ologbondiyan, said this at a news conference on Tuesday in Abuja.<\/p>\n

He said that the process for the primaries was still ongoing and the party had yet to take any position.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is totally unfair and misplaced for anybody or group of people to allege that the party has taken a position,\u201d NAN quoted him as saying.<\/p>\n

Ologbondiyan said that the party had constituted committees to go and conduct three ad hoc delegates elections.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can clearly say that the governors who chaired those teams, to the best of their abilities, were wonderful in their performance and such other processes will follow,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Ologbondiyan said that the party had a channel for aggrieved aspirants or members to express themselves.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf there are grievances, aspirants and members should follow that rather than making frivolous allegations.<\/p>\n

He, however, expressed confidence that the PDP was going to win Bayelsa and Kogi governorship elections in a free and fair elections, saying that the two states were PDP strongholds.<\/p>\n

He said that there was no division in PDP in Kogi, adding that the party was \u201cintact and strong\u201d in both states going into the two governorship elections.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
