Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has congratulated Prince Goddy Jeddy Agba on his nomination as Minister by President Muhammadu Buhari.<\/p>\n

This was contained in a statement issued to DAILY POST on Saturday and signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Ita.<\/p>\n

Ayade described Agba\u2019s nomination as a big plus for Cross River, but warned that the interest of the state must be paramount despite political leanings.<\/p>\n

\u201cI heartily congratulate my brother and friend, Prince Goddy Jeddy Agba, on his nomination as Minister,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is a fitting nomination and a big plus for Cross River considering Jeddy\u2019s track record of service to Nigeria.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I have no doubt that he will bring his wealth of experience to bear on any ministry he is eventually assigned to\u201d, the governor said.<\/p>\n

The Governor expressed optimism that the ministerial nominee will make Cross Riverians proud as a Minister.<\/p>\n

He called for closing of ranks across party divides to give Jeddy the needed support to succeed.<\/p>\n

The Governor added, \u201cThe interest of Cross River comes first. Let us therefore, rise above party and ethnic affiliations to give one of own, our son, the necessary support he needs to succeed as minister.\u201d<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
