{"id":138531,"date":"2019-07-26T20:06:37","date_gmt":"2019-07-26T19:06:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=138531"},"modified":"2019-07-26T20:07:29","modified_gmt":"2019-07-26T19:07:29","slug":"ministerial-screening-buhari-nominee-ehanire-declared-absent","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=138531","title":{"rendered":"Ministerial screening: Buhari nominee, Ehanire declared absent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Ministerial-screening-Buhari-nominee-Ehanire-declared-absent.jpg\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">One of the ministerial nominees of President Muhammadu Buhari Dr. Osagie Ehanire from Edo State was on Friday absent when he was called for screening.<\/p>\n<p>Ehanire was in the 43-man list submitted to the Senate by Buhari on Tuesday. <\/p>\n<p>He was billed to appear before members of the upper legislative chamber today but Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, reported that Ehanire was absent.<\/p>\n<p>The Senate commenced work on Friday morning being the third day of the exercise, with the screening of the immediate past Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.<\/p>\n<p>The lawmakers have already screened 25 nominees so far with many of them being asked to take a bow.<\/p>\n<p>However, the Senate has adjourned temporarily to reconvened by 4pm for continuation.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One of the ministerial nominees of President Muhammadu Buhari Dr. Osagie Ehanire from Edo State was on Friday absent when he was called for screening.
