Ajax captain, Matthijs de Ligt, is set to finalise his switch to Juventus.<\/p>\n

The 19-year-old arrived in Turin on Tuesday night, ahead of his \u00a367.5m move to the Italian champions.<\/p>\n

De Ligt had emerged as the hottest property in world football this summer, after leading Ajax to the semi-finals of the Champions League,<\/p>\n

Manchester United, Liverpool and PSG were all linked with defender, but it was Barcelona in pole position.<\/p>\n

The Spanish champions failed to agree a deal though and Juventus swooped, with De Ligt arriving in Turin, before sending a message to Juventus fans on social media.<\/p>\n

He is expected to undergo a medical on Wednesday, before completing his switch to the Italian champions.<\/p>\n
