There were signs as to how the suspects burgled into the premises.<\/p>\n
Indigenes and residents of the community are now living in fear with the belief that the bandits who they suspected to be Fulani herdsmen might re-attack them.<\/p>\n
Proprietor of the Orphanage, who recently set up welfare office to assist the less privileged in the society, is said to be in the Hague when the incident occurred.<\/p>\n
The President of Issele-Uku Development Union, Mr. Ugeh Ofordile, confirmed the report, saying that there are ongoing meetings to unravel the cause of the attack on the orphanage.<\/p>\n
He said appropriate actions will be taken as soon as the union concludes its meetings.<\/p>\n
The Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Adeyinka Adeleke, in a telephone chat with DAILY POST, confirmed the report, stressing that the attacks were carried out by bandits and not by Fulani herdsmen as being speculated.<\/p>\n
