{"id":133089,"date":"2019-07-05T20:22:46","date_gmt":"2019-07-05T19:22:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=133089"},"modified":"2019-07-05T20:22:53","modified_gmt":"2019-07-05T19:22:53","slug":"police-speak-on-senator-elisha-abbo-meeting-with-igp-adamu-photo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=133089","title":{"rendered":"Police speak on Senator Elisha Abbo meeting with IGP Adamu [PHOTO]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Police-speak-on-Senator-Elisha-Abbo-meeting-with-IGP-Adamu-PHOTO.jpeg\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">The Nigeria Police have reacted to a picture making the rounds of Senator Elisha Abbo meeting with the Inspector-General of Police, IGP M.A Adamu, following viral video in which he was caught physically assaulting a lady at a sex toy shop in Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>The force, in a series of tweets on its verified Twitter page, urged Nigerians to disregard the picture, adding that it was \u201ctaken in Governor El-Rufai\u2019s office when the IGP paid the Governor a courtesy visit during a Security meeting with the Northern Traditional Rulers in Kaduna on April 30th, 2019\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The post read: \u201cThe attention of the Nigeria Police Force has been drawn to a picture of Senator Abbo Elisha purportedly having a conversation with the Inspector-General of Police, IGP M.A Adamu, NPM, mni.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNeedless to state that the picture was taken in Governor El-Rufai\u2019s office when the IGP paid the Governor a courtesy visit during a Security meeting with the Northern Traditional Rulers in Kaduna on April 30th, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhatever may be the motive behind the display of the picture at the time when the Senator is under investigation, be it known that the IGP, a public servant, interacts with every Nigerian, irrespective of their status, political leaning,tribe or religion, etc in the course of discharging his duties as the number one Cop of the Nation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe public should, therefore, disregard the obviously mischievous intentions of the author of the post.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Arewa.ng,  had reported that Senator Elisha Abbo, who was caught on camera assaulting a lady at a sex toy shop in Abuja, on Thursday surrendered himself to the police for investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Senator Abbo had apologised to Nigerians, his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and women in general, following a viral video in which he was caught physically assaulting a lady at a sex toy shop in Abuja.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Nigeria Police have reacted to a picture making the rounds of Senator Elisha Abbo meeting with the Inspector-General of Police, IGP M.A Adamu, following viral video in which he was caught physically assaulting a lady at a sex toy shop in Abuja.
