{"id":132366,"date":"2019-07-03T08:49:07","date_gmt":"2019-07-03T07:49:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=132366"},"modified":"2019-07-03T08:56:51","modified_gmt":"2019-07-03T07:56:51","slug":"my-husband-is-innocent-senator-abbos-wife-speaks-on-assault-of-lady-in-abuja-sex-toy-shop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=132366","title":{"rendered":"My husband is innocent- Senator Abbo\u2019s wife speaks on assault of lady in Abuja sex-toy shop"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Emily Eric, wife of Senator, Elisha Abbo has reacted to video of her husband caught on camera assaulting a woman at a sex toy shop in Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lawmaker, who is the youngest Senator in the ninth National Assembly, was seen in a 10-minute video footage, repeatedly slapping a woman, after she pleaded with him not to physically assault the shop owner whom the Senator had accused of calling him a drunk.<\/p>\n<p>The assault reportedly happened on May 11, 2019, nearly three months after he became Senator-elect.<\/p>\n<p>Reacting, in a post which she shared on Facebook, Abbo\u2019s wife, Emily Eric supported her husband, adding that he is innocent of the crime.<\/p>\n<p>She wrote: \u201cI stand with you babana. And we will always stand for truth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy husband is innocent of what people are saying against him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Senator Abbo has since the viral video appeared online, been under attack.<\/p>\n<p>However, Abbo admitted that he is the man in the video.<\/p>\n<p>Abbo, speaking to the Daily Sun, claimed the video was distorted, insisting that he was not a Senator at the time of the incident and suggested that the footage was doctored.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-694104\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/My-husband-is-innocent-Senator-Abbo\u2019s-wife-speaks-on-assault-of-lady-in-Abuja-sex-toy-shop.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"506\" height=\"540\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Emily Eric, wife of Senator, Elisha Abbo has reacted to video of her husband caught on camera assaulting a woman at a sex toy shop in Abuja.
