O. Doja-Ojo, ordered that Oguntola be kept in prison, while directing that the case file should be duplicated and sent to the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) for advice.<\/p>\n<p>The Prosecutor, Insp. Peace Chukwudi, informed the court earlier that the defendant committed the offences on June 21, at 1.00p.m, on Seaside Estate in Ajah, Lagos.<\/p>\n<p>The prosecutor, however, added that, \u201cOguntola forcefully took the five-year-old girl to his apartment and had carnal knowledge of her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chukwudi urged the court to detain the defendant pending the DPP\u2019s advice.<\/p>\n<p>The alleged offences contravene Sections 137 and 268 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>The case was adjourned until July 24, for mention.\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An Igbosere Magistrates\u2019 Court in Lagos State on Thursday detained a 35-year-old man, Olayiwola Oguntola, who allegedly abducted and defiled his neighbour\u2019s five-year-old daughter.
