{"id":129900,"date":"2019-06-25T08:51:53","date_gmt":"2019-06-25T07:51:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=129900"},"modified":"2019-06-25T08:52:08","modified_gmt":"2019-06-25T07:52:08","slug":"afcon-2019-samuel-kalu-resumes-training-set-to-play-against-guinea","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=129900","title":{"rendered":"AFCON 2019: Samuel Kalu resumes training, set to play against Guinea"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/AFCON-2019-Samuel-Kalus-participation-in-doubt-after-collapsing-in-training.jpg\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Super Eagles forward, Samuel Kalu, has resumed training with the team, after collapsing in training last Friday, SportingLife reports.<\/p>\n<p>Kalu was not fit to play against Burundi in the first Group B match, which Nigeria won 1-0 on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>However head coach Gernot Rohr has confirmed that the Bordeaux winger is back in training Sunday morning and could be ready to take part in Wednesday\u2019s cracker against Guinea.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSamuel Kalu has started training and I think he could be fit to play against Guinea on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut we are still careful and we will prepare very well for the match,\u201d Rohr said.<\/p>\n<p>The Franco-German coach also disclosed that his team would watch the video clips of the Guineans ahead of the encounter in Alexandria.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are watching and analysing tonight (Sunday night) Guinea\u2019s match against Madagascar.
