Tottenham legend, Glenn Hoddle has revealed who caused the club\u2019s Champions League final 2-0 defeat to Liverpool on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

The former Spurs star said manager Mauricio Pochettino should take the blame for the loss
\nHe said the Argentine gaffer should have started Harry Kane on the bench.<\/p>\n

Kane was named in the Spurs starting XI for the club\u2019s first ever appearance in a Champions League final.<\/p>\n

The England captain had been away since injuring his ankle in the first leg of the quarter-final win over Manchester City.<\/p>\n

Kane, however, declared himself fit earlier this week but Spurs manager Pochettino refused to confirm if he would pick his talisman.<\/p>\n

Hoddle said he was disappointed to see Kane\u2019s name on the sheet, with semi-final hero Lucas Moura dropping out.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would have loved to have seen him on the bench,\u201d Hoddle said on BT Sport.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the pace of the game, pace that Liverpool play at.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf we were playing Juventus here today then I\u2019d think yeah Harry Kane should start.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf it\u2019s 60 minutes gone and you\u2019re a little bit tired and you see Harry Kane warming up and coming on, you\u2019re thinking\u2026<\/p>\n
