{"id":121511,"date":"2019-05-28T20:04:42","date_gmt":"2019-05-28T19:04:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=121511"},"modified":"2019-05-28T20:05:20","modified_gmt":"2019-05-28T19:05:20","slug":"efcc-arrests-proprietor-students-of-yahoo-yahoo-training-school-in-lagos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=121511","title":{"rendered":"EFCC arrests proprietor, students of &#8216;Yahoo Yahoo&#8217; training school in Lagos"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal Office, has arrested Frank Chinedu, suspected to be the proprietor of a \u2018Yahoo Yahoo\u2019 training school in Lagos.<\/p>\n<p>EFCC spokesman, Tony Orilade, made the announcement in a statement on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Chinedu, 22, was arrested alongside eight students of the unnamed training centre located at 14 Animashaun Street, Progressive Estate, Ojodu Berger, Lagos while receiving lectures on internet fraud activities.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-682853\" src=\"https:\/\/dailypost.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/IMG_1561.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"><\/p>\n<p>The students are: Ahmed Musa, 24; Desmond Eze, 29; Preye Kingsley, 23; Benjamin Irabor, 21; Benjamin Opah, 19; Akapo Prosper, 22; Innocent Paul, 20 and Olamide Edun, 20.<\/p>\n<p>The suspected internet fraudsters were arrested undercover on May 22, 2019, following intelligence reports received by the Commission about their involvement in alleged criminal activities.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-682852\" src=\"https:\/\/dailypost.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/IMG_1552.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"3456\" height=\"2304\"><\/p>\n<p>Items recovered from the suspects at the point of arrest include: nine laptops, 16 mobile phones, an Airtel modem, Orange Wifi and one Toyota Camry with registration number EPE406FN.<\/p>\n<p>According to EFCC, the suspects will soon be charged to court.\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal Office, has arrested Frank Chinedu, suspected to be the proprietor of a \u2018Yahoo Yahoo\u2019 training school in Lagos.
