Chelsea defender, Marcos Alonso has admitted that Ruben Loftus-Cheek\u2019s hopes of appearing in the upcoming Europa League final don\u2019t \u201clook good\u201d after he suffered an injury during Tuesday\u2019s friendly win over New England Revolution.<\/p>\n

Despite struggling to win over his manager Maurizio Sarri, the 23-year-old has played an increasingly significant role as the season progressed.<\/p>\n

Loftus-Cheek would likely have started the final against Arsenal on May 29, had he not succumbed to injury last night.<\/p>\n

Chelsea fear the attacking midfielder has suffered an Achilles injury similar to the one which has ruled his teammate Callum Hudson-Odoi out until the start of next season.<\/p>\n

The player was seen leaving the Gillette Stadium in a protective boot, before boarding the flight back to London with the rest of Sarri\u2019s squad.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey still don\u2019t know but I think Ruben has a little bit of pain.<\/p>\n
