{"id":117565,"date":"2019-05-15T17:25:47","date_gmt":"2019-05-15T16:25:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=117565"},"modified":"2019-05-15T17:27:37","modified_gmt":"2019-05-15T16:27:37","slug":"buhari-jets-out-of-nigeria-thursday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=117565","title":{"rendered":"Buhari jets out of Nigeria Thursday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Buhari-to-depart-Nigeria-with-Shettima-Ambode-Oyetola.jpeg\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">President Muhammadu Buhari will on Thursday embark on a trip to Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n<p>Buhari\u2019s trip follows an invitation by King Salman Bin Abdulaziz, the ruler of Saudi Arabia and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.<\/p>\n<p>A statement sent to DAILY POST by Buhari\u2019s Media Aide, Garba Shehu said the President is expected to perform Umrah during his visit.<\/p>\n<p>Umrah is an optional but recommended pilgrimage to Makkah that can be made at any time of the year.<\/p>\n<p>The statement reads: \u201cPresident Muhammadu Buhari has accepted the invitation of King Salman Bin Abdulaziz, the ruler of Saudi Arabia and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to perform the Umrah (lesser pilgrimage) in the Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo this effect, the President, accompanied by close personal aides, will embark on the journey on Thursday, 16th May.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe is expected back in the country on Tuesday, 21st May.\u201d\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Muhammadu Buhari will on Thursday embark on a trip to Saudi Arabia.
