Clubs that finished outside the Premier League top four could be drafted into the Champions League, if Manchester City are banned, the UK Mirror reports.<\/p>\n

City are facing a Champions League ban, if they are found guilty of financial irregularities.<\/p>\n

The Premier League champions have been under investigation by a regulatory committee, over a series of leaks into their financial conduct.<\/p>\n

Officials from UEFA\u2019s financial control board are set to submit their findings and will reportedly push for at least a one-year ban from Europe\u2019s premier competition.<\/p>\n

It remains to be seen quite how hard UEFA come down on City, but a potential suspension would likely open the door for another Premier League club.<\/p>\n

As things stand, City will be joined in next season\u2019s Champions League by Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea .<\/p>\n

Arsenal and Manchester United missed out, but the former could still qualify through the Europa League.<\/p>\n

Unai Emery\u2019s men ended the season in fifth spot, but play Chelsea in Baku later this month, knowing victory will secure their place.<\/p>\n

Should they miss out, Arsenal would be the most likely to fill City\u2019s spot in next season\u2019s Champions League through their Premier League position.<\/p>\n
