Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reacted to the appointment of Mike Phelan as the new Assistant Manager of the club.<\/p>\n

Man United on Friday appointed Phelan as Red Devils\u2019 new Assistant Coach.<\/p>\n

\u201cManchester United is delighted to announce that Mike Phelan has been appointed Assistant Manager on a three-year contract,\u201d Man United said in a statement.<\/p>\n

But reacting, Solskjaer described Phelan as a great person to have around, adding that 56-year-old has been invaluable him since last year December.<\/p>\n

\u201cMike is a great person to have around and has been invaluable to me since we returned in December,\u201d Solskjaer told Man United\u2019s official website.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe brings a wealth of experience to this role with a long established connection to the club.<\/p>\n
