Former Minister of Education, Obiageli Ezekwesili, has criticized President Muhammadu Buhari, over statement on Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, losing weight because he was working hard to ensure security in the country.<\/p>\n

Buhari said this when asked about security challenges across Nigeria and if there would be a different approach in tackling the issue.<\/p>\n

He was quoted saying: \u201cI have just seen the IG, I think he\u2019s losing weight, so I think he is working very hard,\u201d the president replied.<\/p>\n

The statement by Buhari, however, did not go down well with many Nigerians<\/p>\n

The former Minister, reacting, described Buhari\u2019s statement as a \u201ccallous joke about insecurity\u201d after ten days of leaving the country for some opaque \u2018private visit\u2019\u201d.<\/p>\n

On her Twitter page, she wrote \u201cAnd this is supposed to be funny? A President Buhari making a joke of the daily drenching of the country in the blood of his citizens who are killed daily without ANY consequence while he bears the title \u201cCommander-in-Chief\u201d? Carry on. Someday the Citizens will be ready.<\/p>\n

\u201cCitizens of every country have the power to determine how their Political Class can treat them.<\/p>\n
