{"id":113485,"date":"2019-05-03T17:59:41","date_gmt":"2019-05-03T16:59:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=113485"},"modified":"2019-05-03T18:01:14","modified_gmt":"2019-05-03T17:01:14","slug":"45-year-old-man-allegedly-rapes-10-year-old-girl","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=113485","title":{"rendered":"45-year-old man allegedly rapes 10-year-old girl"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/How-Caterer-raped-7-year-old-girl-in-commercial-tricycle.png\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">An Ikeja Chief Magistrate\u2019s Court in Lagos on Friday ordered that a 45-year-old man, Celestine Onwusonye, who allegedly assaulted a 10-year-old girl, be remanded in prison.<\/p>\n<p>Magistrate Olufunke Sule-Amzat, who did not take the plea of the defendant, ordered that the defendant be remanded in Kirikiri Prison.<\/p>\n<p>Sule-Amzat ordered the police to send the case file to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for advice.<\/p>\n<p>He then adjourned the case until June 3.<\/p>\n<p>The defendant, who resides in Oregun area of Ikeja, Lagos, is facing a charge of unlawful sexual assault, NAN reports.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, Asp. Benson Emuerhi, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on April 19, at 11 pm No 2\/3 Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos.<\/p>\n<p>Emuerhi alleged that the defendant sexually assaulted the girl.<\/p>\n<p>He said the case was reported to the police at Isokoko Police Division by the girl\u2019s mother.<\/p>\n<p>The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of Section 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An Ikeja Chief Magistrate\u2019s Court in Lagos on Friday ordered that a 45-year-old man, Celestine Onwusonye, who allegedly assaulted a 10-year-old girl, be remanded in prison.
