{"id":112847,"date":"2019-05-01T23:11:10","date_gmt":"2019-05-01T22:11:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=112847"},"modified":"2019-05-02T00:17:15","modified_gmt":"2019-05-01T23:17:15","slug":"make-good-use-of-your-office-workers-tell-amaechi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=112847","title":{"rendered":"Make good use of your office &#8211; Workers tell Amaechi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Make-good-use-of-your-office-Workers-tell-Amaechi.jpg\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Mr Innocent Ajiji, the President General of Nigeria Union of Railway Workers (NUR) on Wednesday tasked the Minister of Transportation, Mr Rotimi Amaechi, to address the poor welfare of railway workers.<\/p>\n<p>Ajiji, who disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja, said railway staff receives the lowest remuneration among the transport parastatals.<\/p>\n<p>He said that Amaechi should use his good office to review the welfare of staff, the way Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) staff remuneration was improved.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe railway union has a lot of challenges, our workers\u2019 welfare is very poor and that is what I keep talking about since I came on board.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want the minister to do what he did in NPA by improving our salaries.
