Tottenham Hotspur manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has blamed their poor start for their 1-0 defeat to Ajax, in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final.<\/p>\n

The visitors, who knocked out Real Madrid and Juventus to reach the semis, outplayed Premier League side Tottenham and earned victory through Donny van de Beek\u2019s first-half goal.<\/p>\n

It could have been worse for Spurs, but fortunately David Neres\u2019 second-half shot struck the post with goalkeeper Hugo Lloris beaten.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst half we started not in a good way. Ajax showed more energy, it was difficult for us to play. It was our lack of energy.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter we conceded the goal \u2013 25 to 30 minutes in \u2013 we started to be in the game. Moussa Sissoko provided good energy.<\/p>\n
