{"id":110322,"date":"2019-04-24T18:01:37","date_gmt":"2019-04-24T17:01:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=110322"},"modified":"2019-04-24T18:19:40","modified_gmt":"2019-04-24T17:19:40","slug":"10-year-old-boy-drowns-in-kano","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=110322","title":{"rendered":"10-year-old boy drowns in Kano"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/1555399035_123_dailypost.ng-522-Connection-timed-out.jpg\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">A 10- year-old boy, Shuaibu Musa, has drowned while bathing in a pond called, \u201cRamin Tasiu\u201d at Sheika Road in Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State.<\/p>\n<p>The Spokesman of the Kano State Fire Service, Mr Saidu Mohammed, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Kano that the incident happened on Tuesday afternoon when the deceased went to take his bath.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe received a distress call from one Malam Abdullahi Naguru at about 03:15p.m. that Musa\u2019s body was found floating in the water.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn receiving the information, we quickly sent our rescue team to the scene at about 03:30p.m.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMusa was found dead and his corpse was handed over to his father, Alhaji Musa Ya\u2019u,\u2019\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n<p>Mohammed advised the general public especially parents and ward heads to stop children from going into open water for whatever purpose to save their lives.\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A 10- year-old boy, Shuaibu Musa, has drowned while bathing in a pond called, \u201cRamin Tasiu\u201d at Sheika Road in Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State.
