Arewa.ng reports that the Labour Party had on Thursday announced withdrawal form governorship race and endorsed declared it support for Abdulrazaq.
Reacting to endorsement, AbdulRahman, expressed happiness over the development, Daily Trust reports.
He described the merger of both parties as the “marriage of progressive forces.”
“It’s a great day today, the coming together of progressive forces; it marks the beginning of the end of a dynasty so to say,” he said.
“We assure the organised labour that my government will pay new minimum wage to workers.
“On whether the N30, 000 minimum wage is possible? I believe this state can afford it, what is happening is that we have an over-bloated civil service, we going to expunge them, we should be able to pay,” he said.
On education, he said his government will declare an emergency in the sector, promising to fix infrastructure challenges in the sector.
“We intend to tackle this, we are going to declare an emergency in education sector and hold a summit,” he added.
