Gov Ayade speaks on dumping PDP for APC

The Governor of Cross River State, Professor Ben Ayade has denied reports that he was set to dump the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The governor described the report as “false and a fertile imagination of the author.”

Ayade in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Ita and sent DAILY POST maintained that his relationship with the President was based on governance.

He stressed that he was still a committed PDP member.

The statement reads, ”There is absolutely no truth to the report that Governor Ayade is defecting to the APC. It is fake news. It is the fertile imagination of the author of the report.

”The governor has a relationship with the President based on governance.

”So there is a need for us as a people to understand that governance is different from politics. Ayade is a committed PDP member.”
