The Ondo State chapter of Mega Party of Nigeria, MPN, has lambasted the state Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu over the handling of the state’s affairs since assuming power.
MPN Chairman, Biyi Poroye said Akeredolu has failed the people of the state who elected him, “since he assumed power some 16 months ago.”
Poroye spoke over the weekend during the party’s stakeholders’ meeting in Akure, the state capital.
He insisted that rather than benefit from his government, the state had been experiencing retrogression.
According Poroye, Ondo State had not recorded any tangible achievement in the 16 months of Akeredolu’s administration.
Poroye said, “we are not happy with the performance of the Ondo State Governor. It ludicrous and ridiculous that close to two years in Office, Mr Governor has done virtually nothing to the mandate he got from the people of Ondo State.
“Regrettably, the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC) which is the life wire of Ondo State has suddenly been abandoned to the extent that it presently serves as a dysfunctional agency.”
