Fayose reveals what Buhari’s speech ahead of Saturday’s election means

Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose has reacted to the nationwide broadcast by President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday.

Buhari had during his speech urged Nigerians to vote right in Saturday’s presidential election.

He also assured foreign nationals of their safety during the elections.

He said, “I want to assure all Nigerians, the diplomatic community and all foreign election observers of their safety and full protection.

“Any comments or threats of intimidation from any source do not represent the position of the Federal Government of Nigeria.”

But reacting, Fayose described President Buhari’s message to Nigerians as a “farewell speech”.

He tweeted, ”This is no doubt a Farewell Speech from an outgoing President.”
