EPL: Former Chelsea manager linked with Newcastle job

Former Chelsea manager, Avram Grant, is being linked with the vacant job at Newcastle, Sky Sports reports.

The Magpies, on Monday, confirmed that manager Rafa Benitez, will leave the club when his current contract expires on June 30.

Benitez took charge in March 2016 and following relegation to the Championship, guided the club back to the Premier League at the first attempt.

Grant has previously also coached Portsmouth and West Ham, as well as the Israeli national side.

The 64-year-old currently works as technical adviser for Indian Super League side NorthEast United.

He guided Chelsea to the Champions League final in 2008, where they were beaten on penalties by Manchester United in Moscow.
