El-rufai committee report on restructuring a political gimmick – ADP

The Action Democratic Party (ADP) has described the restructuring postulated by the All Progressives Congress, APC, as a total deceit going by the track record of the Party.

Governor Nasir El-Rufai-led All Progressives Congress (APC) Committee on True Federalism had on Friday submitted its report with far reaching recommendations.

But the ADP the National Chairman, Engr. Yusuf Yabaji Sani, in a statement on Sunday by its Director of Media, Kayode Jacobs, described the purported APC position as made public by the El-Rufai Committee as a political gimmick designed to shift public attention from the condemnations that trailed the board appointments and the lacklustre performance of President Muhammadu Buhari’s government.

Engr. Sani said that unless Nigerians were called to caution, the APC might deceive the people again as they allegedly did with the change mantra in 2015.

“They rode on the back of great promises in 2015 without clearly fulfilling any till date. Now again, as we enter election year, they are coming up with what many of them strongly condemn and oppose,” he also said.

Engr. Sani also said that the restructuring report was cooked up by hired persons to shift focus away from the content of former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s letter.

“How can they give what they don’t have?” he asked, stressing that the APC is only not functioning, but has a “confused and clueless” government, judging from its majority at the National Assembly that remained “uncoordinated and without respect”.

He said, “Instead of trying to deceive and hoodwink Nigerians again, the APCshould rather apologise to ex-President Jonathan for getting him changed on a phantom promise of change.

“Nigerians should not believe them. The APC does not believe in state merger, resource control or state police. They are pathological liars.”

The ADP National Chairman, who advised Nigerians against lamentations, urged them to team up with his party to sweep the “APC and all its unfulfilled promises into history”.
