Defections: Nigerian political parties lack ideological differences – Bode George

[ad_1]

A former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Olabode George has disclosed that political parties in the country don’t have ideological differences.

The PDP chieftain stated this while featuring on Channels Television’s programme, Sunday Politics in Lagos, against the backdrop of recent wave of defections by politicians.

He said, “For me, if you look at the Nigerian politics, all political parties don’t have ideological differences – where you say far-right, far-left or centre-right, centre-left – we don’t have that.”

George continued, “The PDP is not a contraction; the PDP is not a congregation of strange bird fellows, we have our methodologies. We have a concept, the concept by which this party was established are still there.

“The question we need to ask our own electorate is are you better off today than before? If you are better off then vote APC and if you are not better off, you have that date with a history that you look and pray to God to direct you.”
