Defection: Gov. Dankwambo’s senior aides dump PDP, join APC

A special adviser and three senior special assistants to the Governor of Gombe State, Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, have defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The defectors are: Abdul-Garba Tallasse, Ubayo Danzaria Kedengs, Bakoji G. Gayus and Ado Umar.

They are all senior special assistants to the Governor.

In their separates letters of resignation addressed to the Governor, all the aides suggested that they left the party due to lack of recognition on the part of Governor Dankwambo.

They said the Governor had “neglected the people of Gombe South, despite giving him massive support in 2015.”

The politicians, who were from Gombe South Senatorial district of the state, also accused Dankwambo of “not paying gratuities to retired civil servants with bulk of them from Gombe-South despite receiving billions of naira as bail out and Paris club refund from the Federal Government.”
