Dankwambo, Ben Bruce react as Sen. Adeleke wins Osun PDP governorship primary

Ibrahim Dankwambo, Governor of Gombe state and the Senator representing Bayelsa East in the Senate, Ben Murray-Bruce has congratulated Sen​ator Ademola ​Nurudeen Adeleke for emerging the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun state.

DAILY POST had reported that the Senator on Saturday defeated his closest challenger, Akin Ogunbiyi, to emerge as the flagbearer of
​​the PDP in the September 22 governorship election.

Adeleke won with a close margin after securing 1569 votes while Ogunbiyi had 1562.

However, reacting, Dankwambo, on Twitter wrote,”Congratulations to Senator Ademola Jackson Adeleke on his emergence as People’s Democratic Party’s governorship candidate in the upcoming #OsunDecides2018. We are solidly behind you.”

On his part, Ben Bruce wrote, ”To my dear friend and colleague, Senator Ademola Adeleke, I am so glad you won the @OfficialPDPNig primaries in Osun State. I can already see you dancing your way to victory. Many congratulations! The struggle for the revival of Osun State has begun in earnest. Power to the People.”
