Ronaldo leaves Madrid as their all-time leading scorer with 451 goals in 438 games, nine years after he joined from Manchester United for a then-world record transfer fee (£80m).

The 33-year-old arrived in Turin on Monday, to complete the formalities of his £105m transfer to Juve from Real.

Speaking to reporters after completing his medical on Monday, Ronaldo said he wants to make his Juventus debut on the first day of the new Serie A season, before adding he wished the league would start tomorrow.

“I’ve already met Massimiliano Allegri and I’ll start training on the 30th,” Ronaldo said.

“I want to play on the first match day of Serie A.”

He added: “I’m looking forward to getting started and I wish the league started tomorrow.

“I’m someone who thrives on challenges and coming to Juventus is one. The league is very tough but Juve is ready and I will be ready.

“My age is not important, I feel good, I feel motivated and I feel excited. I’m looking forward to getting started!”
