Nigeria has qualified for the semi-final of the ongoing Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) in Morocco.

The home-based Super Eagles battled back from a goal down to defeat Angola 2-1 in extra-time on Sunday.

Yusuf Salisu’s boys looked to be heading out of the competition, after Vladimir Va scored for the Angolans. But Anthony Okpotu’s goal sent the game into extra time.

In the second half of extra time, Ikechukwu Gabriel netted the winner for Nigeria

This is the second time the home-based Eagles will be making it to the semi-final, since their debut in 2014 in South Africa where they finished third.

They will now take on Sudan in the last four.
