Champions League: Messi speaks on Ronaldo’s hat-trick, facing Juventus in quarter-final

Barcelona talisman, Lionel Messi, has admitted he was impressed by Cristiano Ronaldo’s hat-trick in Juventus 3-0 win over Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.

According to him, his rival had a “magical night” in the Champions League.

Ronaldo scored all three goals, as Juve fought back from a 2-0 deficit, to qualify for the quarter-finals.

Messi, meanwhile, scored twice as Barcelona eased to a 5-1 victory over Lyon at Camp Nou on Wednesday evening.

The Argentine could now face Ronaldo in the last eight of the Champions League and the Argentine is expecting Barca to get a tough draw on Friday.

“I liked a lot of things about the Champions League

“What happened yesterday for Cristiano and Juventus was impressive.

“It was a surprise, I thought Atletico would be stronger.

“Juve have great potential, Cristiano had a magical night with all three goals.

“Wait for the draw, all the teams remaining are tough. We must wait calmly to see who we will play and prepare for the hardest thing that is coming now,” Messi told Movistar after Barcelona’s win over Lyon.
