Celebrities react as Cardi B makes historic win at Grammy Awards 2019

Popular American rapper, Cardi B, on Sunday night, became the first solo female rapper to win the Grammy for Best Rap Album at the 61st ceremony.

Cardi B beat the likes of Travis Scott, Mac Miller, Pusha T to win the best rap album, which is her first Grammy, for ‘Invasion of Privacy’.

While accepting the award, she appreciated her estranged husband, Offset and his Migos group; and all the artists featured on the album for their support.

The ‘Bodak Yellow’ singer also recounted the difficulties she faced recording the album while pregnant with her daughter, Kulture and appreciated her team for inspiring her to finish the album.

Cardi B, “shared the Grammy with Mac Miller,”the young rapper who died in 2018 and was also nominated in the same Best Album category.

Acclaimed female rappers Remy Ma and Lil Kim joined fans and other celebrities on Twitter to celebrate Cardi B’s historic Grammy win

Leading the celebrations, Lil Kim wrote, “Thank U Jesus! Look at God. Congratulations boo @iamcardib you deserve it! So happy for you.

Also, rapper Remy Ma tweeted, “Yes Cardi B congratulation babes.”

Iggy Azalea wrote, “Woah Cardi B won! Super happy to see a female rapper win a Grammy, you dominated 2018 girl.”

Music producer, DJ Khaled wrote: “Congrats Cardi B Well Deserved.”
