Buhari vs Atiku: What Ibandan elders decided

The Ibadan Elders Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has canvassed support for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari and Gov. Abiola Ajimobi.

Members of the group in Ibadan North East Local Government Area of Oyo State made the call in a statement issued in Ibadan on Wednesday by the Chairman of the council, Alhaji Bola Adigun.

The group said there was the need for the electorate to consider the laudable achievements of the president and the experience of Ajimobi to make a choice during the presidential and National Assembly elections on Saturday.

The council highlighted the integrity of Buhari and the transformation agenda of Ajimobi during his eight years in office as governor of Oyo State, stressing that the state experienced phenomenal development.

“Ajimobi as an intelligent governor will perform wonderfully well as a member of the forthcoming National Assembly and Oyo State will benefit from him and the second term of President Muhammadu Buhari,’’ the council said.

Those present at the meeting in which the decision was taken to support the duo, according to the statement, included Chief Ayo Eniade, Mogagi Makinde Dankanje, Chief Raufu Adekile, Mr Gbade Lana and Hon. Lekan Afuye
