Atiku: Nigerians will kill PDP members if Buhari releases details of looters – Rep Agbonnayima

Published

on

Ehiozuwa Agbonnayima, a member of the House of Representatives, on Monday challenged the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar to explain how he came about his wealth.

He warned Nigerians to be wary of Abubakar because United States, US, Congressman Jefferson, who committed alleged fraud with the former Vice President, was currently in jail, News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, reports.

The lawmaker also said Nigerians would be alarmed with details of loot if released by President Mohammadu Buhari.

Agbonayima, a candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for Ikpoba-Okha/Egor Constituency in the House of Representatives said this while speaking with newsmen in Benin, Edo State.

The lawmaker stated that Nigerians would be so alarmed that they would want to kill some of the looters.

According to him, “If Buhari decides to release names of looters, Nigerians will want to kill them.”

He said: “The U.S. gave us comprehensive details of the crude oil that left the country illegally.

“We invited the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and they brought bags full of evidence. In all those documents from the NNPC, there was no record of any oil transaction being taken to the U.S.

“It was as if nothing left the country but the U.S., Custom gave us what landed through the Port of Houston.

“We have documents of who brought the oil, who bought it and the bank through which the money was paid.

“Former Vice President Abubakar Atiku should tell Nigerians the business he has done. He has only been a custom officer and Vice President of the country.

“He said he is an investor but he took INTEL that belonged to Nigerians. Congressman Jefferson has been jailed in the U.S. and the document the U.S. Attorney General sent to former President Olusegun Obasanjo to investigate Atiku is there.

”Who committed same crime with Jefferson want to become president whereas his accomplice has been jailed.. We must shine our eyes.

“I am in APC because Buhari is not corrupt. That is the simple reason I stand with Buhari,” he said

Coordinator of Usman Jibrin Campaign Organisation in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital, Alhaji Nagogo Maiyaki has disclosed on Tuesday that some delegates of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have been detained in Kogi State Board of Internal Revenue in Lokoja.

He made the disclosure at a political gathering while hosting the gubernatorial aspirant and former Chief of Naval Staff, Jibrin Usman in Lokoja.

Maiyaki explained that intimidation and harassment of party executives who were perceived not to be loyal to the governor have been heightened ahead of August 29 primaries.

“As I speak, some of our delegates have been detained at the Board of Internal Revenue in Lokoja.

“Yesterday, when I was going round to mobilise party executive for this event, I was informed that some of them were tricked to BIR and have been detained there.”

In an interview after the event, the party chieftain said, the governor did not want any gubernatorial aspirant to access the APC party Executive before the primaries.

He called on security agents to ensure the protection of party delegates and members, adding that it would be a shame for the party to keep losing members simply because they want to exercise their franchise.

Ekweremadu: Attackers insulted Igbo nation – Enugu Parliament

Published

on

Enugu West People’s Parliament, Monday, condemned in strong terms the attack on former Deputy Senate President and Senator representing Enugu West, Ike Ekweremadu in Germany on Saturday.

It described the attack said to have been carried out by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, as an attack on Ndigbo.

While addressing newsmen in Enugu, the Parliament, through its spokesperson, Jonathan Ivoke came hard on the attackers, describing them as ”miscreants masquerading themselves as those fighting for the Igbo agenda.”

The group urged Igbo leaders who are currently occupying various political and cultural offices not to be distracted by the threats in their passionate efforts to serve the Igbo nation.

It condemned what it described as a ”dastardly, cowardly and sacrilegious” attack on Ekweremadu by members of IPOB.

The group noted that Ekweremadu had done so much for his constituents, the Igbo nation, Nigeria and the entire West African sub region.

Maintaining that he was instrumental in ensuring the bail of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, the group said that Ekweremadu also drew the attention of the President to the possibilities of the python Dance escalating to another civil war.

”Ekweremadu has urged the president to address the obvious marginalization of the Igbo and this shows the extent of love he has for his people. It therefore means that an assault on him is assault to the entire Igbo nation,” it said.

The group called for immediate and thorough investigation, arrest and prosecution of all those who planned and carried out the attack on the Senator.

”Other Igbo in diaspora must take note of the threats of these miscreants masquerading as those fighting for the Igbo agenda and ensure that adequate security is provided in all genuine Igbo activities abroad,” the group said.
