APC vs PDP: What Atiku, Jonathan, Secondus said in Rivers

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, leaders were unanimous in their call on Monday for Nigerians to vote out President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and the National Chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus urged the electorate to use their power wisely on Saturday.

Addressing a crowd of party supporters that thronged Adokiye Amesimaka sports stadium, Atiku told them that “Nigerians should do away with the tendency to create division within us and make us not to live together as brothers and sisters”.

He said a vote for him and PDP will guarantee a restructured Nigeria which he believes will ensure progress, development and friendly living among us.

Atiku also assured the people of Rivers state that his presidency will reactivate Onne Seaport and finish the East West high way.

Former President Goodluck Jonathan, who also attended the rally with his wife Patience Jonathan, urged the people of the state to “vote Atiku and restore unity among Nigerians”, pointing out that APC administration has set the country backwards.

Secondus continued his warning against moves by the APC to rig election, saying that the turn out of sea of heads in Kano at the weekend speaks loudly that even Buhari’s claimed strong hold the North West has fallen.

“We were in Daura the President’s home town, the Governor of Sokoto state here can confirm to you that the North West is now fully articulated,” he said.

He said that a vote for Atiku and the PDP means that Nigeria will have a Commander in Chief who would be in charge and who would not source out the Presidency to the cabals.

He said that Atiku is coming with equipped experience of the private and public sector and will guide Nigeria through the path of progress and harmonious living.

Director General of the campaign and the Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki, Vice Presidential Candidate Peter Obi, wife of the Presidential candidate Jamila Abubakar all adduced Atiku’s potentials and what he would do if voted into office.
