APC reconciliation: Buhari’s aide speaks on choice of Tinubu

Special Adviser to the President on House of Representatives Matters, Suleiman Kawu, has urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to embrace the choice of national leader, Sen. Bola Tinubu as the head of the party’s reconciliation committee.

He made the appeal while briefing newsmen on Tuesday in Abuja.

Kawu, a former member of the House of Representatives, said Tinubu had the love of the country at heart and had also sacrificed a lot for the party during its formative stages.

He said Tinubu was selected for the mission because President Buhari believes the former Lagos governor would deliver.

He urged aggrieved members of the party to use the golden opportunity and join hands for proper reconciliation to take place within the party.

Kawu, who acknowledged internal crisis within APC, admonished members not to “compound issues by creating unnecessary atmosphere, capable of undermining the reconciliation process”.

The ex-lawmaker further said that the success of the party depended on how the stakeholders worked together for the common interest of Nigerians.
